Terms, in plain language.

These terms govern the Aelipsis Chrome extension, website, accounts, APIs, and related services operated by State Crescent LLC (together, “Aelipsis”).

Acceptance

By installing, accessing, creating an account for, or using any part of Aelipsis in any way, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and the privacy notice. If you use Aelipsis for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization, and “you” includes that organization. If you do not agree, do not install, access, or use Aelipsis and uninstall the extension.

Use of Aelipsis

You may use Aelipsis only with information you are authorized to access and process. Do not use it to violate another person’s rights, security controls, law, or contractual obligations. You are responsible for reviewing the source evidence and deciding whether a generated conclusion is appropriate for your work.

Outputs, errors, and no professional advice

Aelipsis helps compare information; it does not replace the original material or your judgment. Results may contain errors, omissions, unsupported interpretations, or outdated information and may fail to identify an important difference. You must independently review the cited source text and verify every result before relying on it or taking action. Aelipsis does not provide legal, financial, medical, tax, compliance, procurement, or other professional advice, and you use its outputs and make resulting decisions at your own risk.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and account access secure and for activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not attempt to bypass usage limits, disrupt the service, probe other users’ data, or use Aelipsis to develop or distribute malicious software.

Your content

You retain rights in the material you select. You give Aelipsis only the limited permission needed to process that material for the comparison you request and to operate the service as described in the privacy notice. Do not submit content that you lack permission to process.

On-device and hosted processing

Quick check is the limited on-device path described in the product and privacy notice. It does not require an account. Hosted review is a separate account-based service for broader model-based analysis. Five completed hosted analyses are included with a free account each UTC calendar month. Before each hosted operation, Aelipsis discloses that selected content will leave the device and requires an affirmative choice. Hosted review may use more than one analysis provider or route only part of the selected context to a larger model. The provider, model, routing, limits, and availability may change as the service develops.

Feedback

If you send product feedback, State Crescent may use it to improve Aelipsis without an obligation to compensate you. Do not include confidential source content in feedback unless a safe support process has been agreed first.

Paid plans

Plus costs USD 15 per month or USD 150 per year and includes 100 completed hosted analyses per UTC calendar month, along with the Plus features identified in the product. Annual billing changes the payment interval, not the monthly allowance reset. There are no automatic overages or rollover credits. Payment does not remove the need to verify outputs against the source evidence. State Crescent LLC is the seller. The price, billing interval, currency, included allowance, and any taxes are shown before you confirm payment in Stripe-hosted Checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically for the interval you select until cancelled. You can cancel through Stripe’s Customer Portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Refund requests can be sent to contact@statecrescent.com and are handled according to applicable law and the circumstances of the request. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer cancellation, refund, or withdrawal rights.

Saved Plus work

Plus lets you explicitly save bounded report snapshots, revisions, decisions, and personal criteria to your account. These records are not authoritative source documents, do not refresh automatically, and do not prove that their underlying evidence remains current. You remain responsible for retaining and reviewing the original sources. If Plus ends, existing reports remain readable, exportable, and deletable, while new report, revision, decision, and criteria writes require Plus.

Third-party services

Aelipsis relies on browser-platform, hosted-analysis, authentication, infrastructure, billing, and website-service providers. The current providers that may receive personal data are identified in the privacy notice. State Crescent does not control those services and is not responsible for their independent availability, acts, omissions, or terms. Aelipsis may be unavailable or behave differently when a third-party service changes, fails, or restricts access.

Availability and changes

Features, limits, providers, and access can change as the product develops. State Crescent may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, non-payment, or reliable service operation. We may discontinue a feature or the service; where reasonably possible, we will provide notice appropriate to the impact.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aelipsis is provided “as is,” “with all faults,” and “as available.” State Crescent makes no express or implied warranty that Aelipsis will be accurate, complete, reliable, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, fit for a particular purpose, or free of harmful components. State Crescent disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade, to the extent those warranties may legally be disclaimed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, State Crescent and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for lost profits, revenues, business opportunities, goodwill, anticipated savings, or data, or for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to Aelipsis, even if advised that such loss was possible. This includes loss arising from an inaccurate, incomplete, unavailable, delayed, or omitted result; reliance on an output; unauthorized access; or a third-party service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of State Crescent and those related persons for all claims arising from or related to Aelipsis will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid State Crescent for Aelipsis during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD $100. These exclusions and limits apply regardless of the legal theory and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability exclusions. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any warranty, remedy, consumer right, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Business-user indemnity

If you use Aelipsis on behalf of a business or other organization, that organization will defend and indemnify State Crescent and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from its unlawful use of Aelipsis, material it was not authorized to process, or a material breach of these terms. This section does not apply to an individual acting solely as a consumer.

Severability and no waiver

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, it will apply to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
